Ceasa de Campinas investigates the purchase of Bitcoin with a high amount of money that is gone. In addition, fees were paid in advance to a law firm.

The problem started in November 2019, when an investigation was opened at the institution. However, after more than a year, the case remains unanswered as to where Ceasa's money ended up.

Bitcoin is a digital currency used for payments over the Internet. Some use the currency as an investment, given Bitcoin's high market appreciation.

From Ceasa's cash register, R $ 800 thousand would have gone missing for the purchase of Bitcoin. In November 2019, the price of the digital currency was around $ 9,000 each. With the price of Bitcoin today at $ 18,000, it is clear that the money that disappeared from Ceasa may have doubled in value, probably worth about $ 1.6 million today.

Ceasa's case is being investigated by the São Paulo civil police

Sought by Livecoins, Ceasa said it will comment via advisory, but did not return contact until the matter was closed.

The city of Campinas is one of the main cities in the state of São Paulo, and Ceasa is responsible for the distribution of fruits, vegetables, and even flowers for the city and region. The case was reported in the last hours by journalist Rose Guglielminetti, from Band-Campinas.

She would also have contacted Ceasa, who reported that the case remains under investigation in confidence. In addition, the current president of Ceasa, Valter Greve, pointed out that the problem started before his administration. As the case is confidential, he declined to comment.

The disappearance of Ceasa's money, which may even have become Bitcoin, is still being investigated. Even the civil police of the State of São Paulo would be involved in these investigations.

If Ceasa returns the contact to explain the case, the matter will be updated at any time.

With the alleged purchase of Bitcoin and payment of fees to lawyers, R $ 1 million would have mysteriously disappeared from Ceasa's cashier

Ceasa Campinas is also investigating the payment of R $ 200 thousand in attorney fees. However, the payment would have been misleading, since the lawsuit is still pending. The payment of fees, it should be noted, is made only after the process is closed.

With the disappearance of R $ 800,000, which could be from the alleged purchase of Bitcoin, plus R $ 200,000 paid wrongly to lawyers, Ceasa investigates what happened to the institution's R $ 1 million.

The problem would have started, in fact, in November 2019. However, since then, the investigation created to explain the disappearance has not yet been able to ascertain the facts, which remain obscure to those interested.
